Fran Summers’ London

British luxury brand Burberry recently introduced a new campaign featuring British ingenue Fran Summers, photographed by the much-acclaimed Mario Sorrenti. The campaign celebrates energy, confidence and effortless individuality – characteristics that are very much present in high-spirited women of London, portrayed by Summers under the direction of Burberry’s Chief Creative Officer, Ricardo Tisci.

In a special Q&A with Fran Summers, the 21-year-old model shares with us what she loves about her home in London and why she loved working on the campaign.
You travel a lot for work, is London still home? Where is your favourite place in the city to recharge from your fast paced life? I love a simple walk by the canal near my home walking all the way through to Shoreditch, it’s really peaceful and beautiful in all seasons.

What is your favourite neighbourhood in London and why? I love where I live and walking along the canal in North London all the way from home to Shoreditch. It’s a long walk and it’s peaceful but as you walk it gets busier and you get more of a city vibe with the hustle, which is very indicative of London’s cities by the water.

Do you have a special story or memory from the campaign shoot that you could share? Shooting this campaign has been one of my most memorable experiences and this has been one of the most exciting jobs I have ever worked on. I worked with a team that I could have dreamed of, and I got to work with some of my idols – all of whom are such kind and inspiring people, this the most amazing experience ever. I had so much fun from waking up at the crack of dawn, to being hoisted up in the air by a crane. I have some of the best memories already from the shoot. It’s so enjoyable to work with kind, creative teams!

Judging from the behind-the-scenes shots, Fran Summers is the perfect muse to represent the Burberry HER fragrance collection, which features a scent for every woman, whether it’s light, fruity, intoxicating, or romantic. The shots also show the energy of that London lady – creative and unique, flirtatious and aloof, and totally at ease with whatever she wants to be.
